WellChild is..

Helping sick children and their families throughout the UK.  For over 30 years, we’ve been dedicated to three key areas that affect children’s health - care, support and research.

We’ve helped many thousands of children and their families manage the consequences of serious illness, complex conditions and life changing incidents.  Our mission is to help many thousands more.

Children are our future, and families are what make up the fabric of our society.  That’s why we’re committed to helping as many as we can, year after year.

Zoe's Story

Image of Zoe on skateboardWhen Zoe Flynn was born, she seemed perfectly healthy, but she soon developed severe jaundice and was diagnosed with a rare liver disorder.  She was lucky enough to be referred to Professor Anil Dhawan, a children’s liver specialist whose work at King’s College Hospital, London, is supported by WellChild. Despite having had a liver transplant, Zoe is now seven and an all-round bundle of energy.   She’s a true testament to the value of the research into liver conditions that WellChild have funded over the last thirty years.
