Our Team
The WellChild team is stronger than ever. Our colleagues across the country have never been more dedicated to supporting sick children and their families. We all share the common belief that it’s time to get really involved with those children who need help so we can change their lives for the better.
No two children are the same and neither are we...
Our growing team of unique WellChild Nurses are crucial to all the families they’re involved with. They’re also vital to keeping us in touch with the very real problems and issues that people in their communities are up against. Our nurses are incredibly busy and highly qualified members of their profession, and the work they do is never less than awe-inspiring.
The increasingly popular WellChild Helpline takes calls, texts and emails from anyone who needs advice and support on, or information about, any aspect of children’s health. It's a fantastic resource that we intend to grow so we can reach more and more families and chidlren. The helpline team also make sure our online A-Z of children's health, which has information on conditions and where to go for more help and support, is kept up to date
The team based at WellChild's main office in Cheltenham covers marketing, PR and media enquiries, events management and finance/operations. Also based in Cheltenham is the brilliant fundraising team who ensure we’re able to continue our work. Our Helping Hands project manager organises hands-on projects across the UK. Our events managers ensure there’s always something new going on and that all of our volunteers feel supported and enthused.
It’s a cliché, but it’s true – there’s a positive 'can do' attitude here at WellChild in every member of staff. And that’s what makes the difference.
“Although WellChild isn't the biggest charity, it punches way above its weight in the scope of the work it does. When I became a dad, my commitment to WellChild was further emphasised.”
Karl Gwilliam , Challenge Events Manager
